Former IPFW right-handed pitcher Travis Reboulet will continue his baseball career with the Joliet Slammers after signing a contract with the Independent Frontier League team.
The 14-team league is composed of teams from Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and Pennsylvania.
Reboulet made 16 appearances last season for IPFW, working 37.1 innings being primarily used out of the bullpen. He finished the season with a 2.41 ERA to go along with a 2-2 record and was tied for the team lead with three saves.
The Fishers native joins former teammate Chuck Weaver who signed with the Florence Freedom at the conclusion of last season. Weaver posted a 4-2 record with the Freedom last year with a 3.69 ERA in 14 appearances, including 12 starts.
The Slammers begin their season on May 16 against the Southern Illinois Minors.
