Makarov to NHL?

Andrey Makarov, who spent most of the season with the Komets, is likely to be called up to the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday, according to reports.

To be knowledge, he would be the first former Komet to go to the NHL since Zach Sikich was an emergency backup with Anaheim.

The last former Komets play to actually get into a game was Steve Gainey, but he only played once for the Komets. Eric Boulton was the last former Komet to become an NHL regular.
