Concordia boys basketball coach Josh Eggold informed his team Thursday he was stepping down after seven seasons.
Eggold was 87-70 at Concordia, including the 2013 Class 3A state runner-up finish. He said in a phone interview he was resigning to spend more time with his family, which includes two young children.
"Based on the time it takes with basketball, I thought with my family it was better to step away from coaching for a few years," Eggold said. "It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make."
