K's still trail after 2

After two periods at Memorial Coliseum, the Komets trail the Evansville IceMen 2-1.

Evansville, which came in having lost 5 of 6 games, built a 2-0 first-period lead on a pair of power-play goals. Forward Josh Beaulieu netted a one-timer from the right circle at 12:58 and forward Alex Aleardi scored at 15:43, after skating out of the left corner and putting a shot into the top of the net.

The Komets answered by coming out hard in the second period and, after a scrum in front, forward Mike Embach shot into an open net at :45.

Even though he has resumed skating for the Komets, Dean Ouellet (concussion) remained out for a 14th straight game. He has one goal and 10 points in 16 games with Fort Wayne.
