The weather outside was frightful as TinCaps lose

Well, that was ... interesting.

On a night that was hardly out of your Boys of Summer Collection, a blinding snow shower compelled the umpires to first halt play in the seventh inning and then call the game at Parkview Field tonight, with the Burlington Bees claiming a weather-shortened 4-2 victory.

The game was officially called at 9:49 p.m.

It ended a back-and-forth contest in which the TinCaps led twice in the first four innings but, in rapidly deteriorating conditions, couldn't answer a two-run Bees' fifth, managing just four hits and none after the third inning.
