Molesting results in 30-year sentence

A 64-year-old Fort Wayne man who molested a 13-year-old girl repeatedly at her home was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in prison.

Donald E. Gray, of the 2700 block of Dellview Drive, had previously pleaded guilty to molesting the girl between December and February.

At one point, the girl's father caught Gray in the act, which sent him fleeing, only to be picked up by police shortly thereafter.

Last month, he pleaded guilty to child molesting in exchange for the 30-year-sentence as part of a plea agreement with Allen County prosecutors.

In exchange for his guilty plea, two other charges of child molesting were dismissed.
