Longtime 911 worker named call center top exec

William Bassett will take the helm as the new executive director for the joint Fort Wayne-Allen County 911 call center, after members of the Consolidated Communications Partnership unanimously approved the appointment today.

Bassett worked as a dispatcher and deputy director for 20 years, and has served as interim director since January while the partnership searched and interviewed numerous candidates, including Bassett
