K's take the lead

The Komets were much stronger in the second period than they were in the first. They were skating harder, hitting more and they got the only goal, so they lead the Reading Royals 2-1 at the intermission.

The Komets tallied seven of the period's first nine shots, including a goal at 5:18 by forward Christin Ouellet, who redirected Matthew Maione's shot from the blue line.

Reading has outshot Fort Wayne 26-22 for the game.

By the way, Orlando is up 1-0 in the third period on Cincinnati. The winner of this series will face the winner of that series, which Cincinnati leads 3-0.
