    In East Lansing, Michigan, the IPFW women’s doubles team of Marcy Huck and Mayu Sato finished the season-opening tennis tournament at Michigan State undefeated Sunday.
  • Miami (Ohio) blanks IPFW women
    The IPFW women's soccer team (1-6) fell 3-0 at Oxford, Ohio to Miami. Kelsey Dinges scored for the RedHawks in the 25th minute from a free kick deflection to give the hosts a one-goal advantage at halftime.

Women's golf lands recruit

Jenna Kurosky of Elgin, Ill., has become IPFW women's golf coach Jessica Steward's fourth recruit for the fall.

Kurosky won her high school regional by six strokes, with a school record 77, and the was the medalist in the Big Northern Conference tournament. A two-time all-conference golfer, she was twice named to the all-area team and was a 2014-15 state scholar.

She'll join an IPFW team that is coming off its best finish ever in the Summit League championship, led by all-tournament selection Ashton Taft.
