State schools to host Challenge games
All three colleges in Indiana will play host for ACC/Big Ten Challenge games this season.
The conferences and ESPN announced the lineup for the annual event Thursday with Indiana, Purdue and Notre Dame each getting home games in the series that will be played Dec. 1-3.
The Hoosiers play Pittsburgh in Assembly Hall on Dec. 2.
The Boilermakers play North Carolina State in Mackey Arena on Dec. 2.
The Irish play Michigan State in Purcell Pavalion on Dec. 3.
Times and TV networks will be announced in August with the games being televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.
The Challenge will feature 14 games with all 14 Big Ten teams playing and 14 of the 15 ACC teams playing. Boston College will not play in the 2014 event.
