Storm-hit school to reopen

– Classes will resume today at a southwestern Indiana high school heavily damaged by a storm packing straight-line winds of up to 120 mph.

WFIE-TV in Evansville reported that even though classes were canceled Monday at Boonville High School, students and teachers helped clean up the damage from the storm Friday that ripped off a portion of the school's roof.

Picking up branches and other debris from trees was left to the students, while teachers cleared damage from classrooms at the school about 15 miles northeast of Evansville.

According to the National Weather Service, the storm was a macroburst that covered 35 miles.
