Xtreme Sprint Series comes to Baer Field
Baer Field Speedway will play host to the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series for the first time Saturday.
Brian Gester, who won the 2013 series title, will lead the charge for the series. Gester ran a world record lap of 150 mph at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2011.
This will be the series only appearance at Baer Field. Gates will open at 4 p.m. Saturday with qualifying at 5 p.m. and races starting at 7:30 p.m.
There will also be races for Street Stocks, Mini Stocks and Front Wheel Drives on Saturday, and children are invited to bring their Power Wheels to the track for the first-ever Power Wheel Races during intermission.
The Baer Field season started last Saturday with Terry Fisher Jr. driving around the outside to edge teammate Scott Coe by 0.063 second to win the Modifieds race.
Other opening night winners were Tommy Cook (ARBodies Late Models), Jamie Garrett (Street Stocks), Jake Hinton (Afdent Mini Stocks) and Bobby Comer (Front Wheel Drives).
