Fundraiser results

Redeemer Radio, WLYV 1450-AM Fort Wayne and WRRO 89.9-FM Edon/Angola, raised $231,900 during its semiannual Sharathon. The funds will assist with operating expenses for the station that serves the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend.


First Wayne Street United Methodist Church, 300 E. Wayne St., will sponsor “Healing Grace for Hurting People” with co-author Larry Renetzky from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 7. Cost is $10 and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. Registration is required by Tuesday; call 422-4681.

•First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 4800 S. Calhoun St., will have the free seminar, “Estate Planning Basics” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 31. Reservations are required by Wednesday; call 744-3239.

Special events

•Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1636 St. Mary’s Ave., will hold a service of reconciliation for military veterans, law enforcement officers and anyone who depends on them for protection at 8 a.m. Sunday at Foellinger Theatre in Franke Park, 3411 Sherman Blvd. The event marks the beginning of the Worship in the Park series.

The Wawasee Boat in Worship will feature music by Janet Norris at 8:30 a.m. Sunday on the lake in front of Oakwood Inn, Syracuse. Attendees may come by boat or bring a lawn chair. For information, call 574-529-3627.

•Children’s Village, Lutheran Social Services of Indiana early-learning center at Lutheran Life Villages, 6613 S. Anthony Blvd., will have a graduation ceremony for 26 preschoolers at 10 a.m. Thursday.
