Murder suspect taken into custody

An Indianapolis murder suspect was jailed late Thursday in Fort Wayne.

Indianapolis Metro Police on Thursday contacted the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Gang and Violent Crimes Unit to tell them Mark A. Tyson Jr. was likely in Fort Wayne and gave local officers a description of the vehicle Tyson could be in, Fort Wayne police said.

Officers found the car in the 4300 block of South Anthony Boulevard and followed it until they could identify Tyson as the passenger.

He was arrested without incident and was being held at the Allen County Lockup on charges of murder and false informing in connection with the Indianapolis case.
