Hoosiers in Big Ten title game

– Top-seeded Indiana scored three runs in the ninth inning to defeat No. 6 Michigan State 7-4 in the Big Ten Conference Tournament semifinal game in Omaha on Saturday.

The Hoosiers advance to their second consecutive Big Ten title game.

Scott Donley smashed a one-out, two-run double to right field to put IU ahead 6-4.

The Hoosiers (41-13) got their third run off a wild pitch.

Indiana was led by Donley, who went 2 for 5 with two doubles, a run and three RBI. Kyle Schwarber went 2 for 4 and scored twice.

Cam Gibson went 2 for 4 and scored twice to lead Michigan State (31-26).

Jake Kelzer (1-2) got the win with 1 2/3 innings pitched. The redshirt freshman gave up one hit and struck out two.

The Hoosiers have won 14 of their last 15 games and 29 of their last 32.

In the other semifinal, No. 2 Nebraska defeated No. 5 Michigan 6-1.

The Hoosiers, ranked No. 8 nationally, will face the Huskers (40-18) at 2 p.m. today in the tournament championship.

Indiana has three Big Ten Tournament titles (1996, 2009, 2013), including two under head coach Tracy Smith.
