BALTIMORE – The Baltimore Orioles addressed their lack of depth at catcher, acquiring Nick Hundley from the San Diego Padres on Saturday in a trade for left-handed reliever Troy Patton.
The 30-year-old Hundley, who played with the Wizards in 2006, hit .271 with a home run and three RBI in 33 games with the Padres this season.

Four teams placed players on the 15-day disabled list. They include: St. Louis left-handed reliever Kevin Siegrist (strained pitching forearm); Colorado third baseman Nolan Arenado (broken finger); Philadelphia right-hander Luis Garcia (right forearm strain) and Boston right fielder Shane Victorino (strained right hamstring). Boston designated hitter David Ortiz (calf injury) and first baseman Mike Napoli (flu-like symptoms) were out of the lineup Saturday. In Cooperstown, New York, Ivan Rodriguez hit a two-run homer to knot the score in the top of the sixth inning, and the Knucksies and Wizards played to a 4-4 tie in the rain-shortened Hall of Fame Classic.
