Man accused of slamming pregnant woman to ground

Pierre L. Taylor Jr. told police he wouldn’t “hit her because she was pregnant,” but according to court documents, the 26-year-old Fort Wayne man picked up the woman and slammed her to the ground.

According to court documents charging Taylor with battery as a Class C felony and misdemeanor domestic battery, the two had an argument. The fight turned physical, and he picked up the woman and slammed her to the ground in a parking lot.

Taylor then stayed on top of her after she hit the pavement. The woman told officers she had pain to her right hip and right arm, according to court documents.
