Luers receiver receives offer from Ohio State

Bishop Luers junior receiver Austin Mack received a scholarship offer from Ohio State on Wednesday.

He received the offer directly from Ohio State coach Urban Meyer.

“It’s mind-blowing, and I am greatly honored to have received a scholarship offer from them,” Mack wrote in a text message. “Coach Meyer is a great coach and to be personally told from him was remarkable.”

Mack participated in the Buckeyes’ football camp June 8. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Mack also has offers from Indiana, Cincinnati, Toledo, Bowling Green, Ohio and Akron and has interest from Michigan, Notre Dame and Michigan State.

Mack had 58 catches for 816 yards last season and set the single-game school record with 205 receiving yards in a 41-3 sectional win over West Noble.
