Komets complete two trades

The Komets on Friday completed two trades made for future considerations last season.

The club said today it has acquired the ECHL rights to defenseman Drew Daniels from Utah, completing the trade for goaltender Cody Reichard made Jan. 2. It said it has traded the ECHL rights to forward Jason Dale to Stockton to complete the trade for forward Mitch Bruijsten made March 13.

Daniels played 44 games with Cincinnati before finishing the year appearing in 13 regular season games and two playoff games with Utah, the Komets said. He made his pro debut in 2012-13, helping the Allen Americans capture the CHL Presidents' Cup. The Suffern, New York, native was selected by San Jose in the seventh round of the 2008 NHL draft.

Dale appeared in seven regular season games for the Komets, scoring two goals and three points, the club said.

The Komets also announced one game change to the 2014-15 schedule released last week. The game scheduled for Nov. 14 at Cincinnati has been moved to Feb. 24 at 7:35 p.m. because of building availability.
