Reward rises to $2,500 in dog killing

The case of a beloved family dog that was shot to death in Paulding County last month has not been solved, and the owners said Tuesday that the reward is now up to $2,500 for anyone who gives information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Otis’ killer.

Dozens of people have contacted Bob and Kim Kanney “with support, prayers, and offers of replacement dogs as well as monies to add to the reward,” they said in an email.

The black Labrador retriever was found in a ditch, wrapped in a tarp, with bullet holes in his license tags.
