A federal judge has dismissed a copyright lawsuit against Lady Gaga filed by a Chicago songwriter who accused her of stealing parts of one of her songs.

Rebecca Francescatti filed the suit in U.S. District Court in Chicago in 2011, alleging that Lady Gaga had copied music and the title lyric from her 1998 song “Juda.”

Gaga’s 2011 song is called “Judas.”

Judge Marvin Aspen ruled this week that the songs do not have common lyrics, have different themes and sound nothing alike musically.

’Street’ abridged

“Sesame Street” is now getting an abridged version.

PBS and Sesame Workshop announced Wednesday that it will add a shortened, 30-minute version of the long-running educational program to its on-air schedule and digital platforms beginning Sept. 1.

It will air weekday afternoons, with a select number also available to watch via the PBS Kids website, video app and Roku channel.

But “Sesame Street” purists need not fret: The full, one-hour version of the show will continue to air weekday mornings.

Each half-hour episode of “Sesame Street” will include a “Street Story,” a “Word on the Street” segment, a celebrity vocabulary segment, songs, spoofs and other popular recurring features.

Sorrentino arrested

It was gym, tan, jail for The Situation as he was arrested Tuesday after a fight at a tanning salon.

The former “Jersey Shore” cast member, whose real name is Mike Sorrentino, was charged with simple assault after the afternoon confrontation at the Boca salon in Middletown Township, which he and his family own and operate. He posted $500 bond and was released; a court date hasn’t been scheduled.

Officers went to the salon around 2 p.m. on a report of a fight in progress, said police Detective Lt. Stephen Dollinger.

Sorrentino is due to return to reality TV this summer in the TV Guide Network’s “The Sorrentinos,” which will follow his family as they open their own tanning salon.
