  • Komets sign three players
    The Komets added goaltender Eric Levine, forward Nicola Levesque and defenseman Paul Arnott to their roster Tuesday, giving them 24 players so far for the upcoming season.
  • Komets sign defenseman James Martin
    The Komets have signed defenseman James Martin, who spent last season with the Alaska Aces and won the ECHL championship.
  • Komets sign forward Pistilli
    The Komets have signed forward Matthew Pistilli and reached an agreement with Konstantin Shafranov to be an assistant coach for a second straight season.

K's win website award

The Komets’ website,, won the ECHL’s Website Award of Excellence.

All ECHL websites were reviewed by the staff of NewSport Media and were judged according to criteria including design, mobile readiness organization, site flow, update frequency and performance.

The Fort Wayne website was re-launched in June 2012, promising improved navigation for all fans and a design that would enhance the fan's and visitor's experiences as well as integrate all of the Komets promotional, marketing and informational efforts through social media and the internet.

Fort Wayne's Vice President Scott Sproat said: “The goal of the new is to provide a more total entertainment and involvement experience for Komet fans worldwide. Also, we sincerely appreciate the efforts of Cirrus ABS for designing a fantastic site that will only get better as we move forward.”

Cirrus ABS, located in Fort Wayne, designs and hosts The Komets official team website is the first pro sports franchise site that Cirrus ABS developed.
