Tax jokes everywhere

If you heard groaning coming from the Indiana Government Center conference rooms Tuesday it’s because the tax jokes were flying.

Gov. Mike Pence hosted a tax conference full of economists, business officials and accountants -- all of whom seemed to have their favorite tax joke.

Pence couldn’t pick a favorite so he opened his speech with a handful of them.

For instance, he shared an old quote – “the difference between death and taxes is death doesn’t get worse every time Congress meets.”

Then he said America is the land of opportunity – everyone can be a taxpayer.

Pence also had this gem – there is no child so bad that he or she can’t be used for a tax deduction.

And he finished with a harp is a piano after taxes.
