  • Girl, lifeless, pulled from pond
    A diver pulled the body of 3-year-old girl out of a pond on AllenCounty's south side Tuesday afternoon. She was pronounced dead, according to authorities at the scene.

    A semi that rolled onto its side caused slowdowns in traffic on Interstate 469 on Monday, according to Indiana State Police.There were only minor injuries in the crash.

1 arrested in pot-dealing raid

FORT WAYNE – A 21-year-old Fort Wayne man was arrested Wednesday morning, accused of selling pot out of his home in a neighborhood northwest of downtown.

The Fort Wayne Police Department said a number of tips came in about many people coming and going out of the residence.

Marquis James Jones, of the 1200 block of Third Street, was charged with three counts of dealing marijuana as well as maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a statement issued by police.

His house was raided shortly after 8:30 a.m., and police reported finding 72.3 grams of pot.
