Fire damages vacant south-side home

Fort Wayne firefighters were called to 2211 Dale Drive on the city's south side about 10 p.m. Saturday and found fire coming from the rear of a one-story home, according to the fire department.

Crews were able to get the blaze under control in 17 minutes. Nobody was home at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported, the fire department said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
