  • St. Joe River Drive section to close
    St. Joe River Drive is to close east of North Anthony Boulevard for about three weeks, beginning Thursday, for underground storm line placement, the city of Fort Wayne said today.

    The railroad crossing on Noble County Road 300 West in Wawaka is closed until Friday, according to Noble County Emergency Management. A reason wasn’t given for the closure.

New Haven streets to close for car show

The following streets in New Haven will be closed from 2 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday for the 17th Annual Cruise-in on Broadway:

  • Broadway Street North to Rose Avenue.
  • Broadway Street South to Lincoln Highway.
  • Main Street East to Ann Street.
  • Main Street West to High Street.
The city said no detour route will be provided.

The cruise-in is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m., according to the Trion Tavern website. There is no charge for spectators or cars. Donations are accepted, with all proceeds going to the New Haven Police Reserve.

The event is sponsored by the Canal Cruzers Car Club and the tavern. More than 450 cars are expected to take part.
