Body in car identified; foul play not suspected

The Allen County coroner's office has identified the man found dead Wednesday in a car in the 200 block of Edsall Avenue, but said foul play is not suspected.

After an autopsy, the coroner's office said the cause and manner of death is pending for William R. Davila, 43, of Fort Wayne.

Autopsy findings will not be available for several weeks, the statement said.

Police were called about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to a small parking lot near McCormick Place Apartments after a man reported that someone he didn't know was in his car and might be dead.

Police were not immediately able to say how long the man had been there.
