Foul play ruled out for body found in car

– Foul play is not suspected in the death of a man found in a car Wednesday evening in Fort Wayne.

Police originally said they were treating the investigation as a suspicious death, but after an autopsy, the Allen County Coroner’s Office said foul play was not a factor.

The coroner’s office identified the man as William R. Davila, 43, of Fort Wayne.

The cause and manner of death are still pending, and the autopsy findings will not be available for several weeks, according to the coroner’s office.

About 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to a parking lot in the 2200 block of Edsall Avenue after a man reported that someone he did not know was in his car and was possibly dead, police spokesman Chris Felton said. The case remains under investigation.
