Defending champ grabs lead at Women's City tourney

They call the next-to-last day of a golf tournament Moving Day, and so Sunday afternoon Karley Dobis came with her bags carefully packed.

Short game, check. Approach game, sort of check. Finishing kick … check.

Put it all together and it accessorized to a 1-under 71, which, combined with Dobis’ first-round 73, sends the defending champion to today’s final round of the Fort Wayne Women’s City Golf Tournament with a one-stroke lead over Sarah Dusman and a two-stroke edge over four-time city champ Michelle Smith.

In the women’s senior division, Jody Ault won the championship with a 36-hole total of 160.
