Petition seeks curb to fireworks use

The Independence Day celebration of bombs bursting in air and gunshots has gotten out of hand and needs to be reined in.

After several weeks of fireworks going off in the afternoon and then increasing each evening, I have developed PTSD. I doubt I am the only one.

The Fort Wayne ordinance covering fireworks is not adhered to. The Indiana laws covering fireworks are not adhered to. Is Indiana so broke it can't get by without the tax dollars from the sales of fireworks? Is Indiana so hungry for jobs it will pander itself for 500+ short-term low-paying jobs? Are the Indiana House and Senate members so lacking in common sense that the only voices they can hear are those of the lobbyists for The American Pyrotechnic Association?

If you want to help take back your summer, please sign my petition at www.change.org/petitions/philip-giaquinta-and-martin-carbaugh-and-david-long-and-mike-pence-ban-the-sale-and-use-of-class-a-and-b-fireworks-in-indiana?share_id=CkJSxROtcH&utm_campaign=share_button_action_box&utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=share_petition.
