    Three people were injured Wednesday night in Van Wert County when a driver failed to stop, according to a statement released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Fort Wayne raids target suspected drug houses

FORT WAYNE – Five people were arrested Tuesday after police converged on two houses in neighborhoods on the city’s southeast side.

Shortly after 11 a.m. a warrant was served in the 2900 block of Alexander Street, according to a statement issued by the Fort Wayne Police Department.

It said the following people were arrested:

  • Sonnie M. Thompson, 27, on a charge of maintaining a common nuisance.
  • Anthony Collier, 26, on charges of dealing cocaine or a narcotic drug (four counts); possession of marijuana; and possession of a schedule 1 substance.
  • Christiana George, 22, on charges of possession of marijuana; possession of cocaine or narcotic drug (heroin); and dealing cocaine or a narcotic drug.
An infant and two dogs were removed from the residence.

Shortly before 8 a.m. a warrant was served in the 400 block of Wildwood Avenue.

Police said two people were arrested -- Tammy Sue Clark, 42, and Erick Johnson, 40, on charges of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.

Two dogs and a rabbit were removed from the house by Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control.
