Angola robbery suspect flees, takes hostage in Mich.

GIRARD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities said a man suspected of a robbery in Angola, Indiana, fled to Michigan, where he took a person hostage inside an adult novelty store near Coldwater.

Branch County sheriff’s officials told WOOD-TV (http://bit.ly/1wWE4TW ) the suspect was taken into custody following a standoff Tuesday at the Lion’s Den Adult Superstore.

No one was hurt.

According to the sheriff’s office, the man robbed a drugstore in Angola before fleeing police. The office said the chase ended 25 miles north at the store just off Interstate 69.
