Szydlowski returns to Komets

Right wing Shawn Szydlowski has agreed to terms and will return to the Komets in 2014-15, the club announced today.

Szydlowski, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, will turn 24 Aug. 5. He had 11 goals, 26 points and 46 penalty minutes in 63 regular-season games last season, the Komets said in a statement.

The statement said he scored points in 10 of his last 15 games and was named the Komets' Most Improved Player of the year. Szydlowski had six goals and 11 points in 11 playoff games.

The Komets now have 12 players on the roster - eight forwards, three defensemen and a goaltender.
