Drugstore robbery leads to 2 arrests

Two people were arrested Tuesday evening in connection with the robbery of a Ligonier pharmacy.

The Noble County Prosecutor’s Office has not yet filed formal robbery charges against Joseph E. Easterday, 23, and Abby L. Jackson, 24, both of Cromwell, but a Noble County judge found after a court hearing Wednesday there was probable cause the two committed the crime, according to the prosecutor’s office.

The prosecutor’s office said it has until Monday to file formal charges.

Easterday and Jackson are accused of robbing a CVS Pharmacy the afternoon of July 31.

Tips to Crime Stoppers pointed investigators to Easterday and Jackson, both of whom will be held without bail until the prosecutor files formal charges.
