Fleming to Fife

Former Komets foward Scott Fleming will skate this season with the Fife Flyers in the United Kingdom.

Last season, he had 16 goals and 49 points in 62 games during the regular season with Fort Wayne, then added two assists in 11 playoff games.

“I’m really excited to be able to come play in Fife. I knew I wanted to go to Europe this season, but had no clue where until I talked to the coaches," Fleming said in a statement. "It seems like a great place to play with unbelievable fans and I just cannot wait to get there to help the team succeed in whatever way possible."

Flyers associate coach Danny Stewart, who played for the Komets, said: “Scott is a fantastic find for us. He's a natural and skilled center that can play in all situations. He’s great on both ends of the puck and creative going forward. On top of all that he provides us with a very good faceoff guy which will provide a lot more possession for us.”
