A new director with a master’s of business administration degree and strengths in marketing will soon take the helm at Artlink.

Amber M. Recker will take the lead with the organization Sept. 2, according to a news release from Artlink.

Recker received a master’s degree in business administration from Indiana Tech, a bachelor of arts in English from Northern Illinois University, and has a secondary teacher certification.

“We are excited to welcome Amber; … we anticipate continued development of our mission along with increased community outreach,” Bill Shewman, president of the board for Artlink, said in a statement.

Recker’s prior work included creating marketing and communication strategies for Business People magazine, Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana and Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana.

She joins Artlink after the departure of Deb Washler, who recently left after eight years to become program officer for Lincoln Financial Foundation.
