New Haven site of county-exec forum

A free, public forum regarding Allen County’s single-county executive referendum will be Wednesday in New Haven at Park Hill Learning Center, 1000 Prospect Ave.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the panel starts at 6 p.m. The forum – sponsored by the New Haven Chamber of Commerce and monitored by Andy Downs, director of the Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics at IPFW – will feature former state representative Matt Bell, Allen County Commissioner Nelson Peters and representatives from No To One PAC.

The Nov. 4 ballot referendum will ask voters whether Allen County’s model of government should be changed from the current three-member board of county commissioners to one elected official and whether to enlarge the current seven-member County Council to nine members.

For more information, email or call Charles Hatten, New Haven Chamber of Commerce president, at or call 749-4484.
