Mayor appoints residents to panel

Mayor Tom Henry on Thursday announced his appointments to a Legacy Fund review panel.

The panel will review potential projects seeking Legacy Fund money, which comes from the sale and lease of the city’s old electric utility. The panel is will consist of nine members.

Three will come from the mayoral administration, three from City Council and three will be city residents. The mayor and council will appoint one resident each, with the final resident appointed by the panel itself.

The mayor’s appointments are:

Al Moll, director of the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department; Heather Presley-Cowen, deputy director of the city’s Community Development Division; Stephanie Crandall, the city’s legislative and business liaison; and Ron Turpin, the head of financial operations– distribution at Lincoln Financial Group.
