Norwell's Harnish day to day with chest injury

The Norwell football team will know more this week about whether Piercen Harnish will be available for Friday’s game against Carroll.

Harnish took a hard hit to the chest in the second quarter of Norwell’s 31-21 loss to Heritage on Friday and had difficulty breathing and was replaced on the field by Reggie Hayes at halftime.

Head coach Jeff Miller said that rib damage was a concern.

Harnish underwent a medical exam that determined that he take it day by day, Miller said.

“We have the day off (Monday) and there’s a JV game on Tuesday,” Miller said. “So the first hitting practice will be on Wednesday.”
