The Allen County Parks and Recreation announced today that its annual music festival scheduled for this weekend, May 6th and 7th has been cancelled due to flooding and safety considerations.
Due to the over 4 inches of rain in the past week and more forecast for the rest of this week our roads, emergency exit routes and festivals areas are all underwater at this time, said Park Superintendent Jeff Baxter. For the safety of our visitors we feel this is the best course of action. We did not make this decision lightly as it is our fundraiser for the Youth Scholarship Fund.
The festival will not be re-scheduled for this year.
