INDIANAPOLIS - Republican Sen. Dennis Kruse, of Auburn, is wasting no time in announcing he will seek reelection in 2018.
The filing deadline isn't until February but Kruse is getting ahead of the game.
“I am grateful to represent Northeast Indiana in the State Senate and look forward to serving for another term,” Kruse said. “I am blessed to represent the best people in Indiana, and grateful to be a part of the economic development and job growth in our region, where we have more people working than ever before. Some challenges remain and I am excited to continue working with my colleagues in the legislature and with the citizens of District 14 so we can continue to ensure Indiana is the best place to live, work and raise a family.”
He has represented District 14, which includes portions of Allen and DeKalb counties, since 2004.
Kruse serves as Chair of the Senate Committee on Education and Career Development, and is also a member of several other Senate Committees: Elections, Family & Children Services, Pensions & Labor, and Rules & Legislative Procedure.
He is the owner and operator of Dennis Kruse & Associates, an auctioneering and real estate firm located in Auburn. He and his wife have four children and ten grandchildren.
