Verbatim: Letter from Dr. Arvind Surendran

The Journal Gazette

Dr. Arvind Surendran sent this letter Friday:

July 14, 2017

Mr. Poore,

I would like to formally submit my resignation from the Dupont Hospital Board of Directors effective immediately. I am resigning for personal reasons.

Dupont was one of the hospitals I started covering immediately out of residency. As my clinical skills developed, so did my attachment to Dupont Hospital and its community. As I worked my way through various committees, including serving as the Quality Committee Chair and attendance to our Medical Executive Committee, I was ultimately rewarded with the opportunity to affect patient well-being at a Board level. It has been such a pleasure to work with such an interactive board and experience the outstanding outcomes of cooperative collaboration between physicians and administration.

For this I am truly grateful. I feel so fortunate to have delivered thousands of anesthetics here during these last 8 years, and to the wonderful patients I have the pleasure of interacting with. I truly enjoy working alongside the staff, physicians and prior administrators at Dupont Hospital, and look forward to my continued clinical duties and any contributions I can bring to Dupont Hospital.

Sincerely,

Arvind Surendran M.D.
