Verbatim: Ivy Tech Fort Wayne’s Flash Flood Update

The following was released on Tues., Aug. 29, 2017, by Indiana Tech Community College Northeast:

We appreciate everyone’s efforts and understanding this morning, as we worked quickly to move everyone to safety as flood waters hit three of our buildings on the North Campus (Harshman Hall, Student Life Center, and Technology Center). The safety and security of our students and employees is a top priority. REMINDER: The North Campus will remain closed for the rest of today (Aug. 29). 

In regards to moving forward to tomorrow and beyond, please refer to the following details:

STUDENT LIFE CENTER IS CLOSED THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THIS WEEK.

 

HARSHMAN HALL MAIN FLOOR AND 2ND FLOOR IS OPEN TOMORROW. THE BASEMENT IS CLOSED THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THIS WEEK.

NOTE: If you do not find your class on this list, then it remains at its original location.

  • The bookstore will be closed.
  • Testing Services/Assessment will be temporarily located on the first floor, Room HM1330. The Prometric portion of Testing Services will be closed.

 

TECHNOLOGY CENTER AND CARROLL HALL WILL BE OPEN TOMORROW WITH ALL REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS AND NORMAL CLASS SCHEDULES.

 

TEMPORARY WORK LOCATIONS:


  • 8 a.m.: All Student Affairs directors, please report to Coliseum Campus, Room CC1200 (Auditorium) for an informational meeting.
  • 9 a.m.: All remaining Student Affairs staff who work in the Student Life Center, please report to Coliseum Campus, Room CC1200 (Auditorium) for an information meeting and to receive temporary work assignment locations.
  • If you have additional questions, please contact your immediate supervisor or appropriate vice chancellor.

 

STUDENT LIFE CENTER’S ACADEMIC AFFAIRS FACULTY AND STAFF

  • Any faculty/staff part of Academic Affairs with locations in the Student Life Center will report to Coliseum Campus, Room CC1640. Temporary work stations will be set.
  • If you have additional questions, please contact your immediate supervisor or appropriate vice chancellor.
