The following was released on Wed., Aug. 30, 2017 by Matthew 25 Health and Dental Clinic:
Matthew 25 Health and Dental Clinic of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne for general operating support of the clinic.
“We are so grateful for the Community Foundation’s support and the support of our community. Our donors’ generosity allows us to serve the uninsured and low income residents of Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio,” says Mark Dixon, Chief Executive Officer Matthew 25 Clinic.
The Community Foundation grant will be used to further the mission of Matthew 25 Health and Dental Clinic. In the last fiscal year, Matthew 25 Clinic served over 20,000 patient visits and dispensed more than 6 million dollars in prescription medications. Matthew 25 Clinic provides medical and dental care to people who are uninsured and live at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. The Clinic is staffed by 31 staff members and 511 volunteers.
