TinCaps roll past Whitecaps

Hudson Potts homered and singled twice, driving in five runs as the TinCaps beat the West Michigan Whitecaps 12-4 on Sunday in Comstock Park, Michigan.
Reinaldo Ilarraza singled four times with three RBI and a pair of runs for Fort Wayne.
Fort Wayne (42-27 second half; 68-71) went up 4-0 in the third after Potts hit a two-run home run. In the sixth, Jack Suwinski hit a two-run double, while Ilarraza and Potts hit two-run singles in the seventh.
Fort Wayne's Lake Bachar (4-1) allowed two runs on four hits over six innings.
Brad Zunica was 2 for 4 with an RBI in his first game since coming off the disabled list earlier in the day. Tyler Selesky was moved to the Arizona League Padres to make room for Zunica.
The TinCaps and Bowling Green will play a best-of-3 series beginning Wednesday in Kentucky. Game 2 will be at Parkview Field at 7:05 p.m. Thursday (7:05 p.m.) and, if necessary, Game 3 will also be in Fort Wayne at 7:05 p.m. Friday.
West Michigan (45-23, 90-45) is 13-5 against Fort Wayne this season.
