The Journal Gazette
A Huntington man is under arrest, accused of possessing a stolen tractor taken from a Roann farm, Indiana State Police said today.
Donnie Horne, 38, was charged with felony possession of stolen property, state police at Peru said in a statement.
Police said a state police detective was investigating the theft of the tractor, valued at $10,000, stolen July 5 from the farm and then sold at an auction in Hamilton County for $4,500 on July 6. A tiller allegedly stolen July 3 from a Huntington County barn was found attached to the stolen tractor, police said.
They said Horne is alleged to be the person who sold the tractor at the auction.
Horne was arrested at his place of employment and was in the Whitley County Jail awaiting transport to Hamilton County, police said.
