Bullets not cause of shattered windshield
The Journal Gazette
A shattered windshield on the Indiana Toll Road in Steuben County on Sept. 23 was not caused by gunshots, Indiana State Police said today.
Police had been called to the 146.5-mile marker on the toll road when a semi driver reported seeing flashes of light from an overpass just before his windshield shattered, a statement from state police said. The object that hit his windshield continued through the semi's back window.
Police were able to determine that a rock or a piece of concrete hit the semi driver's windshield, the statement said. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call the Indiana State Police at 574-206-2931.
The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activity on any highway overpass by calling 911.
