No. 1 Cougars roll past winless Lynx

Top-ranked and defending NAIA national champion Saint Francis won its 18th consecutive game in dominating fashion, 70-0 Saturday at Bishop D'Arcy Stadium. 

The Cougars (9-0, 5-0 MEL) had their first shutout of the season by blanking the Lynx (0-8, 0-4). 

Senior quarterback Nick Ferrer threw for three touchdowns to up his Mid-States Football Association record to 126. He threw scoring tosses to three different receivers, Dan Ricksy, Sean Boswell and Nate Carson.

Ferrer didn't play in the fourth quarter.

Also, junior running back Justin Green ran for three scores, and senior safety Spencer Cowherd returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown.
