IPFW issued this news release today:
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) will have limited office hours between December 23, 2017, and January 2, 2018, in observance of a winter recess. At the recommendation of Purdue University president Mitch Daniels, the Purdue Board of Trustees in February approved the addition of a three-day winter recess on December 27, 28, and 29 for faculty and staff on all Purdue campuses. The three days are in addition to approved university holidays already scheduled for December 25 and 26, and January 1 and 2, 2018.
While most of the campus will be closed, several offices will be open limited hours to provide enrollment support for current and potential students, as well as donors who wish to make a financial contribution/gift to the university before year end.
On December 27, 28, and 29, Admissions, Financial Aid, and the Testing Center will be open and housed in Kettler Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Advancement office will be open December 27 and 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and December 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Student Housing Clubhouse will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. December 26–29 and January 2.
The Athletics Fitness Center will be open:
- Saturday, December 23, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- December 26–30 and January 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There are men's and women's basketball games scheduled during the recess. On December 28, the men's basketball team will host Olivet at 7 p.m. at the Gates Center. On December 30, the teams will host a doubleheader with the women hosting Western Illinois at 2 p.m. and the men hosting Concordia at 4:30 p.m. On those days, the box office will be open one hour prior to tip-off and throughout the game.
Campus police officers and operations/maintenance employees will be present on campus throughout the recess.
Normal business hours will resume Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018.
