New York driver charged with reckless driving on Toll Road

A 33-year-old Windsor, New York, man faces a misdemeanor reckless driving charge after a state trooper caught him going 135 mph on the Indiana Toll Road in LaGrange County this morning, state police said today.
Around 1:48 a.m., a state trooper was watching traffic from the center median near the 112-mile marker, nine miles west of the Howe/LaGrange exit, when he saw a Chevrolet Malibu going east at a high rate of speed, state police said in a statement.
The trooper's radar showed a reading of 120 mph, the statement said.
As the trooper tried to catch up with the car, it said, he saw the driver come too close to other vehicles and make quick lane changes. The trooper was able to pace the car at 135 mph, almost twice the speed limit, police said.
The statement said the trooper was able to stop the car near the 122-mile marker and arrest the driver, who was charged with misdemeanor reckless driving and taken to the LaGrange County Jail.
